Background:

The Administrative Services Department (ASD) created through a recent re-organization plan approved by the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) was established for the purpose of consolidating and organizing the internal administrative service functions of Santa Fe County.  ASD includes Information Technology (IT), Geographic Information System (GIS), Purchasing, (custodial and general building maintenance), E-911 Addressing, and Graffiti.  These services were previously organized under several different departments.  Because these services are critical to supporting the varied services that Santa Fe County provides to its constituents it was decided that this could best be provided if they were centrally organized.  Also, one of the focus areas of the Santa Fe County Strategic Plan was to look at the internal organization and its structure. 

Mission Statement:

The mission of ASD is to efficiently and effectively provide key administrative support services to all county departments, elected officials, and divisions to assist them in carrying out their functions of providing responsive public services to our citizens.

ASD will work closely all county departments, elected officials, and divisions to insure that they have all the administrative support and assistance they need.  ASD endeavors to make this support seamless. 

Goals:

ASD has established goals for each of its divisions in line with its Mission and Vision and in line with the Santa Fe County Strategic Plan.
