Prescription Cards

Santa Fe County is now offering a prescription discount card for our residents. The rising cost of prescription drugs coupled with the growing population of the uninsured has created a crisis in our country. The Santa Fe County Prescription Drug Card Program is now available to help residents save money on all their prescriptions and their pet’s prescriptions, too.  More information on the Santa Fe County Prescription Discount Card Program can be found by clicking here.
The Santa Fe County Prescription Discount Card provides the following benefits to program participants:

  • Average savings of 20 percent
  • Extra savings available through mail service
  • Savings on specialty medications
  • No enrollment fees
  • No age requirements
  • No income requirements
  • Family coverage with just one card
  • Over 57,000 participating pharmacies
  • All commonly prescribed medicine is covered
  • Unlimited use

Appointments Available Now

You have to bring the following with you to your appointment:

    • Proof of Citizenship--a birth certificate or passport or citizenship card. If you were born in New Mexico, we can get a copy for you.
    • Pay stubbs for last 30 days. If you have no income you do not need this item. If you are self-employed we need your last tax return.
    • You muct bring an ID card such as driver's license or Government ID with photo.
    • Proof of any childcare costs.

Program covers doctor visits, hospitalization, (inpatient and outpatient), lab, x-ray, therapies, behavioral health, prescription drugs and more.

*For many people this program is free except for $3 co-pay on prescription drugs.
