County Upgrades Code Enforcement

The Santa Fe County Building and Development Services Division, Growth Management Department recently implemented a new program to improve customer service to County residents in unincorporated areas who are building or making additions to their property and assist Code Enforcement Officers in monitoring illegal construction activities. The program is an inspection process for new construction within the unincorporated areas of Santa Fe County. This improved process includes the requirement that certain construction activities undergo a pre-final and/or final inspection.

To report potential code violations and request further investigation by County Code Enforcement Officers, please email: inspections@santafecounty.org

  • Indicate “Inspection Request” or “Code Violation” in the email reference line.
  • Include the physical address and type of inspection being requested within the body of the email.
  • Code violation reports should also include a brief description of the violation suspected.
