Aamodt Settlement Study ReportIntroductionThis Feasibility Study (FS) has been prepared and published by the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), with the assistance of those listed in Section 1.3, at the request of the 107th U.S. Congress in P.L. 107-66. This FS contains information beneficial to the negotiations for a settlement of the Aamodt Lawsuit. These negotiations for water rights concern individual non-Indian Santa Fe County, New Mexico, residents, and the four Indian Pueblo residents of the Pojoaque River Basin proper. The City of Santa Fe, New Mexico, also has an interest in the negotiations. The Pojoaque Basin lies north of the City of Santa Fe, and south of the City of Española, New Mexico. U.S. Highway (US) 84/285 runs slightly northwest-southeast through the Basin. New Mexico highway 502 runs west from US 84/285 to Los Alamos, New Mexico, from Pojoaque Pueblo. The FS boundary encompasses approximately 195 square miles, with a combined population in year 2000 of approximately 12,285 persons. *Due to the size of the Aamodt Study Report, we are not able to publish it for download off of the Santa Fe County Website.
