Residential Permit Choices
County Residents May Select the Type of Permit that best for Each Household
1) Residents of the unincorporated areas of Santa Fe County are eligible to purchase a RESIDENTIAL solid waste permit for Household Wastes ONLY. Eligibility for a permit is verified by your E-911 address. (a combination of numbers and letters that appear on a sign located at the entrance to your driveway).
2) Permits are valid for a single household’s residential wastes only. (includes brush & tree wastes).
3) Permits are non-transferable (cannot be given or loaned to others for use).
4) Permits are valid each fiscal year starting July 1, until June 30.
5) A waste permit allows the purchaser use of any of the seven County Convenience Centers, and the Rancho Viejo Recycle Center for solid waste disposal and recycling.
A person with a residence and a qualified small business may purchase one residential card of their choice and a small business card at the same time.
